20 Mule Team BORAX! (contest)

So this week the FedEx man pulled into my driveway with a mystery was like Christmas (only after Christmas).  After seeing what was in the package my memory came back and I remembered that I had signed up to Blog about this amazing product a while back and had just forgotten about it...enough about my forgetful self....moving on...

So, the legal stuff first...Borax provided me with a free sample of their product for this post.  My participation is voluntary and my opinions, as always, are my own.

What is Borax?  20 Mule Team Borax is a 100% natural mineral from the earth. One removed from the ground it is washed, dried, and boxed for customers.
Borax is the common name for sodium tetraborate: a naturally occurring substance produced by the perpetual evaporation of seasonal lakes.
Absolutely nothing is added.  No phosphates, chlorine, or other additive chemicals.

For more information than I care to type out you can check out their web site and read about how it helps your laundry in hard water situations and many other uses.

There, now that that is out of the way I can tell you what I think of this amazing stuff.

I have been using 20 Mule Team Borax for several years now as one of the ingredients in my homemade laundry detergent.  This stuff truly knocks my socks off as far as how it literally helps out the rest of the ingredients in doing their job.  It is an amazing laundry booster and helps to remove stains as well...and believe me, with teenage boys as well as an 8 year old girl, there have been more than enough stains and sweaty arm pits around here.  Oh, I also used Borax this past summer in an ant poison recipe I, the ants sure love to eat the stuff, but unfortunately for them...its an end to their colony after they take it back and share their find with the queen.  Anyway, I give Borax two thumbs up, easily...and would absolutely recommend anyone who was thinking about go ahead and try it!  I am finding new uses through their web site myself, its just crazy the versatility of a product that I have passed so many times in the laundry aisle before.

If anyone is interested in my laundry soap or ant poison recipes please let me know...if there is any interest I might just do a blog about those as well.

Last but not least...Borax was kind enough to enclose some FREE coupons with my turn for you taking the time to read this blog I would love to reward a few of you with the coupons.  So, first go here and LIKE them, then comment on their page with my blog site so they know how you found them.  Then head over to my Facebook page and leave a comment so that I can find you to message you for your address.  After all that, leave a comment right here (below) about how you have already used  Borax or what you most look forward to using it for.  I'll give you all a couple days to get that done, then on Wednesday 1/9/13 (sometime in the evening) I will randomly pick the winners and contact you to mail out your coupons.  I know that sounds like a lot, but really its 3 quick stops just to share the love with everyone. Thanks guys, you all really are the best of the best!
